LINEHAUL TEAM. Drop hook both ends. And some get home daily for 3 to 4 hrs, like us, and 2 full days off. 95k a year each. 1900 gross each every week. 1100 mile turn every day. 5500 miles week. We drive for R+l carriers but other linehaul LTL team companies pay and work the same. Saia, Estes, Old Dominion....Nathanos and CorsairFanboy Thank this.

Do you take a week off here and there like on OTR? Or is it just your 2 days off all the time?IndianaMike Thanks this.
-
Just 2 days off every week unless you take off for vacation. You can ask for unpaid time off also.

Sounds better than TSMT for $. You probably have to live near terminal though to make it home every day.IndianaMike Thanks this.

I ran into one of those teams in a rest area in Florida once. I badged the FSP trooper and said, You don't have in there what I don't think you have in there do you? He laughed and said we ain't got nothing in there at all. I told him thats what I thought you didn't have in there and I am getting the hell out of here..

We were going to drive for another DOD team company like TSMT. Went through the DOD clearance and were going to go to orientation. Then this RL team job opened up in our home town. The pay was about the same and home daily as well as on weekends. We had to take it. The other DOD team job wanted us out 4 weeks at a time. We live a out 20 minutes from our terminal. You have to leave truck at terminal and drive your own car.Lonesome and Midnightrider909 Thank this.

I'd love to be able to take off a week every 2 months or so (unpaid like otr). I just don't think 2 days off is enough time at home to go do things like camping, hiking etc..IndianaMike Thanks this.

I was going to run for them. Had everything they wanted...but they said my truck was to old and I needed to buy a new one. So I said #### it and walked.
I even have an active security clearance and mil ID card. Hell, my older truck has better uptime than most of the newer stuff running around nowadays, but cant argue sense into the corporate way of management. -
Other companies aren’t so picky but you need to be a team to haul DOD.
