Update on mercer translation

Everyone knows what i think. I stated earlier in the thread how i used to get mercer cost on fuel 10 years before ever signing on here. As for who moglar talked to? Heck i don't know. Maybe his coordinator? Recruiting? Whoever got Jason's old job in contractor relations? I don't know. but if it wasn't someone in the brokerage pay department they are the wrong person to ask and shouldn't be expected to know the answer.

 

Actually its pretty common knowledge. Heck even landstar does this also.

Yep i did the same with them. Along with a few others. Mainly the ones that paid very fast and had a good fuel card program. Id just leave those funds on there to operate with when pulling loads for other brokerage firms.

 

Wonder if there will be an update on the bobtail/unladen insurance situation

Really.....very interesting. I believe you. But like I said I called and asked the question very simple. If I An am owner operator with my own authority and I become an approved carrier for Mercer can I take advantage of the same fuel savings as their leased owner operators.....I was told no. Based on what you said I will try again and dig deeper. In fact I will record the telephone conversation. Trust me....I am interested.

You seem to misunderstand what we are saying, its not what we have heard, in the past those of us who have had authority in the past have gotten the discount.
