Arnold is supposed to be doing their own payroll and accounts in GP. The sound system is bland honestly. Im not really sure what the threshold is for their mpg targets

10-4. I had heard they lacked a CD player. I turned one down due to lack of room for wife & I. I was psssed by one this morning and my on guard showed it at 66.

Arnold-Duncan SC Shut down
So I just found out that my fleet manager and my former fleet manager of 2 years, plus all of the other personnel at the old Arnold dispatch (formally C & C Trucking) were let go yesterday. I'm really sorry to hear this, they were a great bunch of guys and did a fantastic job dispatching. I don't think they saw this coming because they were happy about the US Xpress acquisition. I'm not sure about the status of the shop there, but the shop is US Xpress, so I'd be surprised if that was closed or there are plans to close it.
I'd like to extend best wishes, for your future endeavors, to Jay, Jim, Bill, and Paul. Especially to Jay my first dispatcher (who was there from the old C & C Trucking days),who helped to make me the driver that I am today.
Take care guys and I'll see you all down the road!

Austell will be next due to Ellenwood terminal being close by. Jax is also down to a skeleton crew, extended coverage is gone. Won't be long until it's just a drop yard

Saturday was my last day. Wish them the best. They seem to be on the right track, just not my cup of tea

Well just like any other larger merger with companies you have to look at the profitability of each individual terminal. If they are not bringing in the business they should, it will most likely merge in to a smaller and centralized area. Everyone expected them to downsize Arnold's terminals by 35% upon acquisition. I don't know how this is a shocker to anyone. Sorry to see people lose their jobs, but I don't know how anyone really thought that a company like US Xpress was not going to come in and do a profit analysis to make them the most money.
Not everything is full of rainbows and unicorns.Vito Thanks this. -
