I know that they have a terminal in Lebanon TN. I can't imagine they have a Florida terminal, because what the hell comes out of Florida? They do a lot of full cross-country loads - frankly, if I could have made with them the cents/mile I make with other companies, I would still be a May Trucking employee to this day, they get a LOT of freight for their size. But let's be honest, average day on the road, you're going to see a lot of this and that carrier. But I'd like to hear how many people would say they see a May truck on-the-daily. Outside of the northwest, which is their territory. Seriously.

When I lived in Florida, saw May trucks every day.
Lots of produce loads out of the Everglades. I've hauled produce out of there pulling reefers.

Okay then, Pensacola FL did not know that. I knew they were full-48-committed but I never got to the deep Southeast. I will say these things in favor of "Low-Pay May:" I always got plenty of miles, whatever the low rate might have been. Their terminals are decent, not dirty and scratchy and "seriously no laundry?" terminals. Their mechanics are 100% on top of things, even to the extent that if you spend a night at a yard you might find out the next morning that someone checked you tread-depth while you were asleep and you're due for a change.
But I will also say this: May Trucking won't put a bicycle rack on your truck until you're there for 90 days. Reason? Most people don't stay past 90 days due to the pay.
May will suck you into their terminals to act as a local driver while still paying you as an OTR driver. As we all know an actual local driver usually gets paid by the hour because the miles are low. May will ignore the fact that you are getting paid by the mile and send you on local routes for a week once you are close to a terminal. They will not apologize.
May is heavily intertwined with the Colorado beer business. As every trucker knows, the ins and outs of the Golden CO brewery are a nightmare, can frequently take several hours to drop-and-hook. May doesn't pay detention on drop-and-hooks and when they do pay detention, it's a minimal $25/hr.
They can offer you a lot of miles at a low per-mile rate. And there's a bonus structure for exceeding miles monthly. BUT, when you get close to bonus they WILL throttle your miles if possible to preclude you from hitting bonus.
Driving for May is a children's game and they know it. They expect you to leave after 90 days, when suddenly you can get a job with a better-paying company. So fine, leave. They've already got a full class of recent CDL graduates to replace you. -
I see them a lot here in Georgia and the carolinas.

I knew a guy who straight out of truck school in college who went straight into loves- Gemini no other truck job he was a flat bedder they have a handful of them prior to that I didn't even knew they had that division that said if I could I definitely would rather work for them then any mega van company but that's just me I am all about that pay.
