    But were you idling during that time? And -20° when you came back to the truck? I've had a truck gel somewhere between 0° and 10° when it was parked (not idling) for the weekend.

    Bunk heater is the early warning for gelling.

    If the fuel line freezes to the bunk heater, time to start the main engine.

    Never had a problem. Rarely idle.

    Bought anti gel in Minnesota once when it was -18F, and didn't know any better.

    -28F is our personal best. The WHY-OH-MING in Casper.

    Just kept going down lol. Slid down a WTF ice road to that dog food plant in Green River.

    That was during the day too. Spent the night in Greeley. That was one where the bunk heater turned off, so fired up the Casper. Said -20F.

    No fine from The OM that time.

    We've done more than a few 34's in Minot in Blackie II in the dead of winter, just on APU.

    This is when we were there for 3 days. The OM authorized a room. Dump for $68 a night.

    The driver just didn't want to do 72 hours in the truck, in the ice and snow.
