I got a feeling he is a 1099 lease operatorBig Road Skateboard, Rideandrepair and exhausted379 Thank this. -
Also, I don't see why you're surprised at getting no direct answers. This is a public forum. If you run brokered freight and put your actual numbers out there they are there for the world to see including the brokers you're trying to make money off of. It's your pocket or theirs. and they are on here, and they can read.
Anyone that has been here for awhile and pays attention knows about what average pay is for the different types of freight and those who haul it.
And as stated above several times every situation is different. And here's another HUGE point people rarely think about. Cost of trucking and living is vastly different in different parts of the country. Your 262k in Chicago probably funds the same lifestyle and business that 100k does down south.
I'll go back to your original question, "Whats everyone clearing paywise THESE DAYS with a dryvan as a owner operator?"
My answer for you is $45k less than I made last year running the same miles.Big Road Skateboard, fordconvert, Rideandrepair and 2 others Thank this. -
No sense talking business with someone who can’t understand the simple terms of “net” and “gross”.

Entirely way too many many dryvans out on the road. Freight rates are very low. Immigrants coming from abroad, and starting out a trucking company will continue to over saturate the market. Unless you got a liftgate and you’re doing a whole bunch of drops really doesn’t make sense to get into driving dryvan. The ones that do are full of hopes and dreams with big eyes on Dollar bills. But because it’s so easy to get into it’s over saturated most of business after being sucked dry. It’s a slow death. Just my thoughts.
