Some threads just sort of spiral down the drain, don't they. There goes that big long post I was so proud of. There's a sense of loss....

Driver asks: You driving for Thomas? Yes.
Whats your pay? Ten cents a mile. (In the late fifties)
I thought he only paid five cents a mile. He does.
He promised me five cents, and I promised to steal five cents.
Fact: You cannot beat a truck driver out of his money when
he has your truck and is out of your sight............

Exactly...a Recruiter for ROEL...sent me an email said in writing experienced drivers of 2 yrs or more are not required to have the driver facing camera on them....So I said fine I will hire on with that as a condition of hire.
So...I go to orientation....oh and also I wrote I also require a manual transmission....and they wrote back saying they had manuals....
So I go to orientation two days of brainwashing....During which the orientation guy confirms" NO YOU DO NOT HAVE A. DRIVER FACING CAMERA THAT'S. FOR TRAINEES ONLY"....and the third day they said ok get your stuff out of the motel so you can put it in your truck....so we get to the truck and its a brand new automatic right....with only 7 miles on it right....and I say " I was told I could get a manual "...."so they say we don't have any manuals available right now but if you want to wait a week the dead mans truck that's. in the body shop will be ready".... right....So like is that a chouce you're giving me a brand new auto or a dead mans manual?
And they just look at me....
I shake my head and load my stuff in the new truck.....
I get out on the road and they dispatch me to run 400 mile circles in WI and IA corn fields on minor highways and tell me what my routing is...and start micro managing every move.....( And I hired on for OTR looking fir long haul).....calling me up every 5 minutes you're not picking your nose right....you're. not scratching your fanny right.....you're not scratching your testicles right.....?
" How do you know I aint scratching right ?"
"Well we have video frame captures of it".....
Well I have it in writing that you can't. do that as a condition of my hire.
But they keep doing it....and I keep raising ten kinds of hades over it
    for three weeks....
Till I went for home time so I call the dispatch superviser mgr up after emailing copies of my hire agreements to him and say "You either will have to keep the agreements made or get yourself another driver Im giving you two wks notice as your policy manual states"....So he says "we will come get the truck"....I say fine but I gave notice and offered to turn it in"
So they tried to keep $1350.00 they owed me cause they ELECTED to come get the truck.
I said no.....you aint either not without getting served to appear in small claims.....for that $.
So I told their payroll you got 48 hrs if the funds arent on deposit to my account....I will see you in court.!
    They paid....
While I was at that Gary IN terminal of there's I talked to a guy said was with them 7 yrs.....he said tgey were doung tge same to everyone with the cameras that they were calling him about a camera in his truck every 5 mins and micromanaging him....
I sais after 7 yrs they are treating you like that?....He said sure enough...I said I aint putting up with another three weeks of it!
These companies think they own you as their trained ape in a cage...I am surprised they don't make trainees wear shock collars.

LOL....The excitement is in the recruitment and first 30 days of working for them when they tell you all their sweet lies about how great the company is and how you're going to be rolling in all the big bucks driving for them....yiu finally found your loving family bla bla bla
Then after they figure out that you figured out they're screwing you like all the rest......then they put together gangbang plans on how to pass you around....hey who wants some of this guy?
