I deliver to a few Publix stores in the Venice/Englewood area that if you're in hurry and unfamiliar with the area I can see that happening. Especially if delivering at night as there's little to no light.
The entrance to the back is 'flushed with the Dock' so if you continue driving you'd have that photo happen - Publix just build yellow pillars in Englewood my guess is a four wheeler did that driving in the area behind the store. -
There's a great dashcam video of two old ladies looking for a business in one of those areas. You hear them wondering where the place is and they drop off one of those types of docks with no idea what happened, then try to put it in reverse to get out. Hilarious.
