Worst truck stop you have been to

The Loves in Tacoma, WA the parking spots/maneuver room were designed for DayCabs/48ft trls.

 

48 might be stretching it there....

 

That place is a total hell hole for sure !

 

The flying j in ellensburg is also nasty.

 

I've never stayed there. I always stayed at the love's.. which can be a little tough to find parking at but is a decent place. When I worked for System I would go across the street from our yard to the Petro and stay. that is a good place in Spokane. The J in Spokane is terrible

 

Stepped into the I-55 truck stop there in Bolingbrook IL which was always a cesspool, however they put in nice tile and wood finish in the men's room along with gooseneck auto faucets in the marble countertopped sinks.

 

That's cause it's a Broadway. They refuse to put any money into them or clean them. I will not stop at any of the Broadway locations ever.

 

OMG Don't EVER go into the FlyJ in Winchester, Va off 81 anywhere after 16:00, even if you need to just fuel you may get stuck there for 1/2hr waiting for to fuel then another 1/2hr just trying to get back out! It's famous for the craziest place in the east, trucks coming & going in all directions blocking any spot they can fit. Trust me, it will be like fighting off sharks to get back out!

I tried to stop there at 1:30pm for a shower and it was a cluster f@*K, I gave up and went further south.

 

That's becoming common with the 30 minute break. Yesterday went into 2 different truck stops and got trapped behind 2 different guys doing 30 minute breaks in the fuel island. Trippy thing was, both places had a garbage can one spot over from where the driver pulled up to wait. All each of these guys had to do was pull ahead, jag out a little and back up against the garbage can and stay there all day if they wanted to without jamming up people like me running in to grab a coffee.
