Read an interesting post on FB today from the good folks here at TR regarding driver shortages. Not really sure how anyone puts up with these megas. Truly amazing that ANYBODY would want to work for them.

Lots of these "people" posting in favor of the megas are plants there specifically to fake a good appearance for the carrier. They also try to catch employees talking negative about the mega so they can silence them by any means necessary. This classic tactic has been used by numerous companies, countries and governments around the world. It happens on social networking sites like FeceBook and Twitter, discussion forums just like TTR and they even target comment sections of YouTube and the like. There's thread here on TTR about a driver who was fired from a mega because he talked negatively about them on FeceBook. He had just accepted a friend request from a stranger just before they canned him.

 

They're going to try defame your character using DAC and "unsatisfactory safety" on your job references. Mark my words. You might as well get whatever you can out of them because they're going to attempt to ruin you. As mentioned earlier DON'T accept any certified or signature requested mail. Be careful about strangers knocking on your door too. It will most likely be a process server attempting to hit you with a court summons. If you signed anything agreeing to pay for damaged to the equipment than you have nothing to fear. However, I'm fairly confident you did. Your fault.

 

All that dreck the mega carriers come out with about having a “driver shortage” is just BS. THEY WANT the turnover. Uncle Sam gives them the tax credits to hire anyone they can off the streets... all they need is minimum iq enough to breathe, even if they are too stupid to flip a hamburger. Then they get to keep the starting wages low as well as cheap labor with “training teams”.
