    The heavy smoke coming out is from carbon build up, do service as states above.

    I suspect the reason it runs while the truck is on may be due to the heater's low voltage cut off setting. See this video for how to adjust that.

    I dont have that control module, mine’s the Tripac all in one module, but I think I can change that with a laptop and the Tripac program I have.
    Im also guessing the water temp sensor part# 41-6538 went out which is causing high engine coolant temp and shutting it down? Could also be a fuse as I seen on 1 video on Youtube so I gotta check that as well

    Espar heaters need regular maintenance. The kit you ordered will get you up and running, super easy to service. The fuel filter is mounted outside, easy to spot as it will be mounted at 15° to 45° degrees.



    This one also addresses the fuel filter.



    I’ve been told to never operate an Espar less than 20 minutes minimum as any less will result in air port clogging up. Should also be run 20 minutes per month year round.

    About to order the parts for the heater. But Im still trying to figure out where the Water Temp sensor WT1 is on the APU? I think I found one - but Im guessing its the WT2 sensor? Maybe I only have 1 since my APU isnt connected to my truck - since it has its own coolant? I unplugged the once sensor I saw and plugged it back in but my APU still keeps shutting down. Not sure if the heater or a bad water temp sensor is causing that?

    Im sorry Im potato but I looked for a long time and only found 1, attached pics of 1
    I found and inspected, and another pic of the one I couldnt find (which I think is the WT1 sensor part#41-6538)

    I’d load test batteries, I rarely have a set last more than 2-3 winters.

    sht I hope not, they show no issues with the truck it self tbh

    Also Im 90% this is the water temp sensor I need to buy to replace the 1 I have that is maybe bad? It sits behind the water pump, I called ThermoKing and they want $180 no thanks
