Missouri- Clement Truck Driving Academy, Lebanon, Mo. I’ll tell ya what… Doyle Clement knows what he’s talking about. Right now, I’m working on the Pre-Trip and maneuvers. I just need to get this done as quickly as possible so I can make money. My wife and I are in a very bad way financially. We’re within 2 months of losing everything and being homeless. I’m 100 miles from home, the furnace quit, behind a month on every bill…list goes on and on. My wife and I are Baptist and we know God has this. We’re praying everyday and we trust God for everything little thing in our lives. It’s just a struggle. We could use some prayers if you don’t mind.

Random question doubt anyone will know but worth a shot.
I bought a nice gaming laptop. Anyone have any idea why it wont charge in the truck? But at home/any other plug it charges right up?
it will just hold it current charge like now im at 90% (been there for days) But wont go up when pluged in the truck (tried diffrent outlets),
ive had less powerful laptops in this truck charge no problem.

    cdavis188 Thanks this.

I was worried that I might not get home on time but honestly they couldn’t have came up with a much better plan than i have now. Delivered in Henry, TN and then swung down to Jackson for a load to HD in Joliet. After i drop that tomorrow morning, I’m going to some place north of Naperville and Aurora for a live load going to the HD in Topeka. Drop that Wednesday, grab an empty, and head home

After I drop in Topeka, I will have 13,291 paid miles since i came out on October 29th. Not too bad if I say so myself. My new dispatcher definitely keeps me moving

Sending prayers your way. Learning to drive a truck, and be a proud professional truck driver isn’t easy. Some people learn how to drive a truck, but don’t learn the professional side of things.

These guys here on the FCC thread are all professional truck drivers, you picked an awesome company to go with starting out.

Keep on being willing to take advice, ask the questions, even if they sound stupid. Learn to use a manual shifter, and most of all:

KEEP THOSE EARS OPEN!! When an older hand who’s been around awhile offers the advice take it.

When you start over there, ask for a friend of mine named Scott Beemer. He’ll help you out a lot. Call him Uncle Scotty and he’ll know who sent you. He doesn’t train, but he will offer up sage advice and most likely be willing and able to help you out.

I’m never afraid to ask questions even if they sound dumb. I’m 59 years old and I don’t know what truckers go through on a day to day basis. I’m hoping to learn, even from those who might be younger than me but have been in the industry for a while. I can always learn something. I’ll ask for him when I get up there! Thank you!!

Oh yeah… I’m a country boy who has always had a manual pickup and have driven manual grain trucks. We did have a ‘81 KW W900 3406B & 13 Fuller. I drove it around a bit with a grain trailer to the elevator several times. Figured that clutch out on it pretty quick. Bob Benders widow is giving me his Cobra 29 peaked & tweaked for my truck when I get one. He drove for Crete many years. I appreciate the prayers too. God has been very good to me. My wife and I have a give-fund-go page up. It’s a Christian site for crowdfunding. I don’t know what people would think about me putting it up here.

Myself I’m not a fan of go fund me or the the govt paying off student loan debt. But if it gets you out of your situation so be it. You’re not going to get rich being a truck driver but should be able to keep the lights on at the house. Just remember, starting out in trucking you won’t see the house much.
