Got my next preplan earlier today. I deliver my current load in N. Platte tomorrow then deadhead back to Lexington and pick up a Tyson load on Thursday that has to be at the Tyson facility in Goodlettsville, TN by noon on Friday...load won't be ready for pu until 4 am Thursday, so thats 920 miles in 32 hours. The preplan will put me over 3200 for the week and put me into bonus land with 18 days left in the month.
As I was coming up US81 between Salina and York, I came up on a Hunt pulling a wrecked Creaffer truck on an RGN trailer. An almost brand new one...it was a 500## number. Looks like he either put it in the ditch or was hit on the passenger side. The driver's side looked pretty clean
Snackbar is chillin'....at Shaffer

What if you get in an accident off route?”Lonesome, drvrtech77 and Trucker61016 Thank this. -
a couple of items that they addressed in that asked and answered video on their YouTube channel was this… That issue on the newer trucks where it keeps saying safety loop key fault when the truck tries to restart is a software issue in Freightliner now has an update that could be downloaded at any of the shops to fix that issue…
Also, the other issue that was brought up to them is these people responding to us drivers over the people net with no name attached to the messages so we don’t even know who on earth is sending us. The messages is going to be addressed according to Kutter…Trucker61016 and Lonesome Thank this. -
Before I click on a link, Did any of my Creaffer compadres get a txt msg about "important insurance news" from Ashoff?
Trucker61016, Friend and O.Henry Thank this. -

Tyson had my load ready at 2130 last night.(according to the message I got from Lincoln). Went in to the guard shack around 1 am. But, in my usual poor timing, the guard said they could let me in and get hooked to my trailer, but I needed to stay put because the plant was about to have a chemical spill evacuation drill and there will be a lot of people heading to the various rally points, so they lock down the gate and it's no one in or out until it's over. Honestly, it didn't take very long and I was on the interstate before 0200(which was 2.5 hours early). Managed to make it all the way to N. Vernon today and can deliver anytime after 0600 in the morning. Already have a preplan, pick up over by Memphis at noon tomorrow going to New Britain, CT for Monday. The CT load will give me 7502 miles by the 15th. Things have drastically improved since I was assigned to my new dispatcher. Finally running like I prefer, although it feels weird that I haven't done a single 34 since leaving home in July. But, as long as the miles keep coming like they are, who needs one...it turns out that my trepidation about how good a former CSR could be as a dispatcher was completely incorrect.
Trucker61016, wulfman75, JohnBoy and 10 others Thank this. -
