    Hello Magnum group!

Just sent in an application for OTR driver.

I was told that the company specifically fuels at Pilot/Flying J. Do you guys ever have difficulty fueling because of this? When I drove for Prime we were able to fuel at Loves, TA/Petro, and Pilot / Flying J. Just wondering.

    Thanks in advance!

I've found it to be pretty easy to find them. If worse comes to worst, we are allowed 50 gallons from "anywhere" in an emergency. I haven't had to use that yet, luckily.

Hello there, you can literally go from east to west and not have a problem with the fueling, and if you don't like staying at Pilots or Flying J's you certainly don't have to. Good luck!

Thanks for the answers. Ran the lower 48 previously doing reefer with prime and had run into places where one or more of the big 3 trucks stops were absent.

Currently doing the pneumatic trailer gig. I'll tell you it sucks to have to stand outside in 20 degree weather and baby sit the hour plus unload.

Makes me miss my reefer driving days.

Most of our running lanes are so thick with them you don't even have to plan your fuel stop in advance.

Had another few questions for you guys.

How have your miles been overall?
In a year and a half with prime I only broke 2500 5-6 times.

Also, can the Pete 579 accomdate a small dorm fridge in the back?
    Again, thnx in advance.

Since January I've averaged 2469 paid miles per week, and that includes taking off an average of 4-5 days per month. Our 579s come with a small fridge with a little freezer compartment, and they work great.

    LeedoShuffler Thanks this.

Some drivers remove the passenger seat for a larger second fridge and others just carry a cooler up front.

For the first several months assuming 3-4 days per month hometime count on 2300-2600 miles per week. It will take time to learn our lanes and operating procedures, but many of us ave 11K plus per month.

If you want the full scoop on Magnum, head over to

    http://www.thetruckersreport.com/truckingindustryforum/threads/magnum-ltd-fargo-nd.266917/.

Discussing actual miles and how things are going over here kinda' leads to some of us not being too kind with our experiences...and the OP (@Pigbacon) has asked that we keep this thread positive.

    4mer trucker Thanks this.

Magnums a good company to work for. I'm top pay and I drive a lot of miles. As with everywhere, it's not for some people!

I enjoy it here, I make good money, I have lots of freedoms, and good coworkers!

DustMyBroom, Xeres63, Zata40 and 3 others Thank this.
