FCC--Fremont Contract Carriers

Yup, KC going north is dead for freight again this weekend. Having me DH to Lincoln for my RTO this weekend.

It will feel darn nice to get off this truck for a couple days. Ran every day in June to try to offset a bad May… for all you truly dedicated Real Truckers, you have my respect. I don’t think I’ve ever been out a whole month before. July ain’t looking so good either so I might stay out August again now that I got my sea legs.

I will be staying out August, September. I'm going home in a few weeks for 4-5 days then back at it again for rest of the month and those two months then take another 5 days trying to save up as much as possible.

 

It looks good about 100 ft away pretty nice though for a advertisement for going down the road.

 

The joys of homeownership, lost power to part of the house yesterday (had 120 on both legs coming into the box but only on one leg south of the main breaker). So had to call an electrician out at 4 PM the day before a holiday, first idea was it was the main breaker until he pulled the breaker and the buss bar was black at the contacts for the main breaker. There's a new to use main breaker in now and it's working but it needs a new box sooner than later (as in next week). $1300 to git r done, $2300 to do it right. So that was an unpleasant surprise.
May was a bad month for me too, had 8700 miles, it's the first month I haven't made 10k miles. I wound up with 30700 for the quarter. Current plan is to come out of the house on the 8th and stay out to the 31st (Wife's birthday is August 2). Hopefully freight will pick up as we get closer to Surge.

 

Two weeks ago we lost a leg of power at the house for several hours (per wife’s description) Thankfully no issues.

Just a few days ago my mothers area/power company had issues with power and they dropped a leg as well.

Both cases only random items would work or would only partially work.

I'm always not worth a #### the first day I come out of the house. It usually takes a couple days on the road before I can really run hard and keep the left door shut.

 

And the 1st day home is tough going from the pace you set to get the job done while abiding by a 14 hr clock to working on home projects in normal time.

 

Unfortunately, how my Monday goes usually determines how my whole week will go. This morning I managed to get my #### together, get out of the house, and get on the road before 9 am. So I'm off to a decent start compared to most weeks at least
