Was there last week. Dropped at WM and they DH'd me up to schuyler. One day north winds two days later south gale. Love the midwest.

 

First of all I was not talking about YOU!!! What is your problem anyway... I don't know you, or how you kept your truck, it was a statement of fact for others out there that I know do not!!! I was talking about a driver I do know is not doing it!!!

I am sorry you had a bad time with Central, I do not know what your circumstance was and frankly I don't care. You are happy now that is what matters. Hell, kid I am a Idahoan, I live in Idaho, well really I live in the truck, LOL. I worked for Motorwest, good thing you did not go there, although you can run illegal with them, until your caught!!! You can fudge on your paper logs, until your caught! Then they turn their backs on you, as if they never knew you.

I have been out here a hell of a lot of years, I know this business but, I too am learning all the time. You will be too. I for one am happy to hear you did the maintenance on your truck, the way you talk on here I figured you did. The one thing wrong about texting and writing, is everyone seems to jump to conclusions as to what is being said, you can not see the other persons facial expressions, you can not see body language. I have read all the post and see it a lot on this thread. If someone writes something you think is against you, why not ask them first instead of jumping their ###???

Well, I'm cutting home time short... again. My partner is swinging through about a day early so I'm going to jump on now and roll out early. This is all fine because I'm going solo when we get into WVC.

keep firing the dm if you have to, and go talk to carl and owner op about your miles, this is what i did. I let them know i am running a business here, and they have to live up to their end of the bargain. I started to deadhead on my dime to wv terminal one time and they tried to tell me i could not do that, and i said i pay for fuel, watch me!!! I had a load in two minutes!! And they tried to tell me they had no loads. I told them i don't lie to them they better not lie to me. I have a corporate attorney on retainer as well, i do not trust anyone with my business. I do not turn down loads, if it is not a money maker but has a good preset on the other end i will take it otherwise i don't, and i show them why! They at the terminal, most of them anyway, do not know what it is like out here, and i figure only i can tell them, why i do something or don't do something. I too have had trouble getting miles many times. Infact, i had my payment taken out of my maintenance 5 times in 3 months, my payroll clerk got a hold of me and said i need to do something about this. Owner op took care of it. Frieght is up for now, and all should be doing pretty good for miles. It has been somewhat better since they took the loads away from the dm's. They did that because some dm's were giving loads to favorites, and even saving loads for favorites, and some of those favorites were giving their dm's monetary bonus for the loads! Now only the planners have the loads, but i fear the same thing happening with them. I don't care where it is going just want to make my miles. I do know the typical times of years freight is slow, with central, some normal high times can be low if they have a lot of students coming out, more students in summer then in winter. So i am more dilegent in the summer and more assertive, lmao. I hope it will get better for you. How long have you been with central? Oh btw, have you tried calling the planners directly?
