ALL recruiters are liars to some degree. Generally, bigger company means bigger liars. I wouldn't trust my mother if she was a trucking company recruiter.
Everything in writing, or it means NOTHING. Got it ?

When Swift increased their governed speed to 65, Werner upped theirs to 68. Sadly someone never got the memo that your base went up so they still start at .38. All said, if you don’t end up with at least 1k a week for your 70hrs you are getting tea bagged by “the man”.
cjbrents Thanks this. -
I'm trying hard to understand what the hell you're saying.

If you don’t net at least $1,000 per week, you’re getting screwed. In other words, don’t work for SwiftLonesome Thanks this.

Wait when has 1k been good? I am not saying 1k a week can't satisfy someone but that's not even close to good. But thankfully I have other money coming in that keep me afloat aside from these trucking companies. If someone buys info from a recruiter let alone from a mega carrier you are way too naive or new to the industry. staying with swift is entirely up to you however I won't say you should stay because maybe you might like them better than I did some people are contempt with them I just couldn't be as many others couldn't either. Use them if you like to your goal even for seat time.cjbrents Thanks this.

That’s just it. $1k/week isn’t good. And you don’t need money outside of trucking to stay afloat. If you’re unsure of where to be, get to LTL and figure out what is you want out of your career. At least you’ll have a good career, $100k/year job with 4 months off, and stable work until you have figured it out -
Not so hard to understand.....
-
Where do you get 4 months off? And LTL ain't the piece o' cake many make it out to be.88 Alpha Thanks this.
-
Yes it is. I am LTL. What’s so hard about drop and hook? What’s so hard about five days out, and two at home? LTL is a piece of cake. Someone’s lying to you.
Here’s how you get 4 months off. When you’re hired, you automatically get 104 days off. After two years, you get two weeks of paid vacation (14 days), plus 3 personal days. That’s 121 days off per year.
