After using these Samsara POS, Peoplenet is head and shoulders above them. After it restarted after the 2nd update, I had 2 previous trip numbers appear, so I guess they haven't figured out why it does that.

Never had any issues with Samsara. Ours operate flawlessly, I don’t use the company issued the tablet though. Just do it all on my phone.

I think @kylefitzy had a similar location issue as I did and I'm pretty sure he only uses his phone. We have enough drivers having issues that they recommend that everyone reboot every morning because on top of the location issue, it doesn't always accurately calculate and display the right hours on the dash unit and thats the only fix Samsara could recommend.

I really feel bad for all the truckers today. The elogs, warning sensors and electronics would drive me crazy. I was happy to fill in my paper logs, eat in the sit down diners, drive 60 mph in my Maxidyne and manual trannies and drive during the night and sleep during the daytime. The trucks seem to have lasted longer without computers telling them how to operate and drivers had more control of their daily routines. I applaud all of you because after my 44 years and over 3 million miles I retired in 2011 and am really enjoying full time rving with my bride of 45 years. Nothing like this.

Can't argue with a single word of that, except perhaps, not knowing the mileage over the 40 years I drove without all the horrors visited on today's drivers. We might have been an ocean apart, you and me, but I reckon we had the best of the best. Thanks Mum and Dad, you picked exactly the right era for me to be born in. :)

Since it sits 30 feet from my back door, I am in and out of it all hometime. Laundry, cleaning it up, rearranging stuff. Plus turning on the GPS's WIFI and making sure it's up to date. Plus I approve my logs daily on it.

ncmickey, dwells40 and Oxbow Thank this.

I park my truck a few miles away from my house. When i pull into town i get all my stuff, lock it up, and go home. Sometimes i may forget something in my truck but otherwise i don’t show my face around there when i’m on hometime

If I couldn't park my truck in my own drive, I would drive a truck.

    Knucklehead and Oxbow Thank this.
