I lived in the UP for 15 years. Don’t forget about deer season when they all come back to play outdoorsman. If you are in the woods and the blows the trees it sounds like a war zone. That is why I only hunted on private land during deer season

1st pu went fine, 2nd pickup's load info said open until 18:00, I get there at 15:15 and....shipping goes home at 14:00, so I have to come back in the morning. The shipper is 2 exits past the 45 mph zone and girder bridge on I-70 west of New Stanton up in Donora PA. Thankfully I found a free spot at the Flying J at exit 49. Messaged my FM, but have yet to hear back. One more ####ed up load this month and I am taking this ##### to the nearest terminal and riding the Gray-dog to the house with what stuff I can carry. Since the Wylie partnership, I get more screwed up loads than I do organized loads. Thank God they don't get any loads of wet dreams....I am sure those would get ####ed up too!!!

It’s only about 900 miles over to Kansas. You could get the 2nd stop picked up tomorrow afternoon and you’d still have more than enough time to deliver Monday morning.

    Lonesome and cdavis188 Thank this.

It's just the frustration of yet another load with ####ed up info. Once in a while, o.k., that's just the nature of trucking, but as often as it happens here lately...there is a problem in operations...and this is on top of the delay getting a load and another equipment break down, all in the same week...it makes staying out and trying to get a little ahead so I can afford to go home a total waste(and this was gonna be the last hometime before Christmas).

Part of the reason I am so pissed right now is, by the end of this month I will be away from home 9 weeks, and I won't even get 10k miles this month. It makes it so tough to have a positive attitude when you invest that much time and have nothing to show for it. I'll stop my rant right there because I have absolutely nothing positive to say right now about this job or this company(or our partner company, or our parent company, or our new owner company).

Shoot I almost always hit 10K monthly, although I’m not paid by the mile, just using the mileage for reference, from my medium sized Union county employer to whom I’m sure you’re familiar with @supersnackbar Seems odd to me that a true OTR driver like yourself doesn’t have the backing from a company to be able to achieve those miles, heck I think the better part of our local guys are turning those kind of mileage numbers, my revenue is not on par with yours though.

I’ve followed his rants over his last half a dozen jobs. The longer he stays out the worse it gets. 9 weeks would be enough to drive anyone crazy.
