if ever there was a place for a half twist in the straps.

well I have my marching orders for next week. Starting in Hermiston on Monday I have to deliver my container in Everett, go to the yard, swap trailers, and get back to Redmond by 1430 to load. Since @supersnackbar is off I get one of his runs. A 4 stop genie load going to Amarillo, okc, tulsa, and 20 miles east of Tulsa.

sounds gravy until I put pen to paper and realize it’s almost 2500 miles and I will have to do a reset on Tuesday. And none of the places are open on the weekend, so I will need to kick all four stops off Friday. 411 miles between the first and last stop. I’m going to be a busy boy if I want to make it home before Monday/Tuesday morning.

Inspecting the damaged trees around my house it almost looked like it was almost a mini tornado the way the tops were twisted. I did notice one piece of my workshop did sustain a little damage. The 2x10 on the end of the shelter I have over my air compressor is snapped vertically and the one tree beside it is missing it's top, so it appears that it twisted it off and dropped it straight down on the shelter.

To emphasize how strong this storm was in our area. A friend of ours lives in a 1950's concrete block house in the city of High Springs, she said she was tempted to grab a mattress and sleep in the hallway it was so bad. To be honest, the truck didn't get bounced around last night nearly as bad as some nights in WY or NE. My wife was kinda nervous, but I didn't even think twice.

Saw another post on the forum and NC is f**ked for the next few months or more as much flooding and road issues they have from the hurricane

I do have to say that thus far, SPD has been very accommodating when I mentioned that my hometime may need to be extended since we're not sure when we'll get electricity back after this storm. The city of High Springs is still mostly in the dark. In my neighborhood there are many power lines still on the ground, including one right around the corner that the top of the pole snapped off, including the transformer. We all kinda helped out the county by clearing trees out of the roads, at least the ones that weren't on top of power lines.
