    Surprised you lasted two years.

I find it hilarious how they bring religion into business and even put Bible verses on their trailers, meanwhile at same time screwing over their drivers. :biggrin_2559:

I'm sure the lord doesn't approve of no detention 2-5 hours no detention and just 51 CPM. :booty:

I haul dairy. I was told by another driver ( at least regarding my com) that when we report detention ($20/hr) they charge the dairy $200/hr. Also when report st the 2hr mark, the dispatcher gets on the phone with the dairy to find out what the delay is. So the company actually makes money. At least in the dairy tanker biz.

Last time I changed to a better truck, I realized it was like changing apartments. I had accumulated alot of stuff. It took me a couple of hrs. The hardest part was switching mattresses. But I digress.

Should start leaving cards with Mark 10:25 laying around the terminal: "It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle, than for a rich man to enter into the Kingdom of God.”

Do you always park at a terminal? What's the case if you take the truck home?

I lived 7 hours from the nearest terminal i would deadhead for hometime and park it at a kw dealer, It made no sense. clean the truck out and send someone to come get it? Maybe they just wanted to get rid of me i was few months to 3 years / 2 weeks paid vacation, Prefect record no tickets or incidents , would stay out 5 weeks total slap in the face to me screw them.
But its alright already went to another company got a 2025 freightliner had 1100 miles on it premium mattress. large mini fridge/freezer APU, Free sirius xm ,Truck that doesnt have idle shut off, instant 7cpm raise and terminals that dont look like a crackhouse and no recaps

I got a permanent unpaid vacation from DHT :D was my fault, but I might still be a bit bitter

My time at DHT was short lived, but my pet peeve was the no layover if under dispatch. I remember one time being in Chillicothe, OH for 36 hours to hook to a loaded trailer and sit with it until it delivered in Chillicothe for free

And of course the time the truck was down for an SCR fault, I got approval to pay for a hotel for 4 days and it'd be reimbursed (it was the cheapest I found in Carlisle, PA) and I never got reimbursed. Breakdown pay was pretty solid though. I don't remember the exact number, but I basically had a full paycheck that week.

The lanes were cool though. And KW's with an APU are decent in general. Miles were hit or miss and pay was subpar. I'd possibly suggest them for a new driver wanting to stretch their legs coast to coast, but not a whole lot going for them for someone 6+ months experience.
