Finally got a load out of the house after an extra 5 days at home (2 on one end and 3 on the other)

Head to Hoschton GA for a load of Kawasaki racks heading to Lincoln. Sitting here getting loaded now. The sucky part is loading them on this conestoga and having to slid the tarp back and forth so far.

    cdavis188 and DonRobbie Thank this.

It’s $200, I will not beat the ELD tablet to death.

Don’t mind me. Just having a moment here. Tablet helpfully put me back in Driving status after I parked and logged my post trip. Checked to see if my 7 minutes were up and discovered it had racked up 6 minutes of violation.
Of course it’ll be because I don’t understand technology.
Also, a heads up, if you have split breaks turned on, it doesn’t keep accurate tabs on your 8 hour driving break. It pauses the 8 hour clock for any non-driving status. If you have split breaking turned off it works as expected (counting down to 8 hours from when you started driving). The Omnitracs system had the same or a similar bug, so in that respect Geotab isn’t unique in its flakiness.

It should stop your 8 hour clock for any non-driving status because the 30 minute break is based on 8 hours of drive time not 8 hours after you start your clock.

The 8 hour clock runs continuously from when you start driving, it can only be reset by 30 consecutive minutes in a non driving status. So for instance, if I start driving at noon I have to stop for a 30 minute break before 8 PM, even if I’d stopped every hour for a 15 minute break. It’s stupid, but it’s how the rule is written.

It changed a few years ago. It’s now based on drive time only. And the 30 minute break doesn’t have to be all off duty time anymore.

Sitting in the shop in Fremont while someone takes my steer tire off. it’s been slowly losing air pressure even though i fill it back up. Tech thinks it’s a leaky valve stem
