Good Christ you’d need a hazmat endorsement just for the amount of fuel that thing holds. Are those huge tanks or am I looking at something wrong? Either way that’s a slick setup.

Goody3635, IH9300SBA and Knucklehead Thank this.

If that was all a diesel tank, it still only be about 125-150 on that side. I used to have a W900L that had 220 per side. I kind of liked being able to almost always get to where the cheapest fuel was. It hurt to fill it from empty sometimes... but it was nice to not even need to worry about CA fuel prices.

3,523 paid miles since last Wednesday. Pulled into town with 1:55 left on 70. Pretty productive me thinks

When I 1st went O/O many moons ago, we had a driver with a Classic Freightliner that had those small diameter long tanks. I had to rescue him at the exit for our terminal because he got a little low on fuel, and the steep angle of the ramp made all the fuel run to the back of the tank and started sucking air because the pickups were in the middle. Once we got him leveled out in the center turn lane of the main road, we got it to fire up and he made it to the terminal so he could get the cheap fuel.
