How close is your dash to what your mpg’s really are? My 2017 Peterbilt showed about .7 better than what it was on paper, my 2022 Peterbilt showed .3 better than it was on paper. I think Freightliner and Volvo are pretty close to what the fuel economy actually is these days.

So I might have to sit here 7-10 more business days to find out an answer though I am thinking I might rent a car and get a loaner.

I love it. I regularly take home 2k a week without having to run myself into the ground. Even with setting aside tax money, I'm making a healthy amount more than I was as a company driver

Truck is closing in on 300k and I haven't had any issues with it whatsoever

You think safety would take issue with me dropping my trailer where I park my truck at and bobtailing to the truck wash and back on PC

    Friend Thanks this.

DOT will probably consider that as drive time since its taking the truck to get it washed

    Friend and runningman0661 Thank this.

Don’t tell them you’re going to the wash, say you went to get some food.

A truck wash isn't on duty, if he were taking it to a shop for repairs or preventative maintenance, then it would be.

    Friend Thanks this.

Yes taking a truck to a wash is on duty time. A wash is considered maintenance same as taking it for repairs.

    Friend and Knucklehead Thank this.
