Everyone knows the shop sucks. I questioned the shop in my interview with poly and the head HR guy told me it sucks. That's never going to change.

I don't mind taking a loaner so the oil change 2 day thing is annoying but it doesn't effect me much. If I was one of the ones to get a new truck it might though because I won't want to get into a loaner maxxforce when I could wait on a new truck.

Example of the shop/Maxx force issues I currently experienced. I turned in my truck for a service and was having to stop every 200 miles for a parked regen. I've turned it in for regen issues several times and did at least 200 parked regens the past year and I've almost had to do one to two per day no matter what they did to fix it and or idling not idling.
So I run a load and get back and they tell me the MaxxForce needs to go to international. I run another load and notice my truck didn't move and they tell me it's ready to be signed out and they replaced the dpf filter and doc. I don't question them about it goin to international because they will just say they never said that.
I then take a home load and have to do a parked regen every 100 miles. After 1k miles it starts saying stop engine no option for parked regen. I get two Roadside service calls to force a regen and drive to the dealership.

Dealership keeps the truck 12 days, took 7-8 days for them to diagnose it because they were busy or whatever. They replace the dpf filter and doc, the charges I saw when he was flipping through the paperwork were 3-4k to do something our shop just did lol.
Truck didn't idle at all and within 500 miles after leaving the dealership I had to do two parked regens. The next day I get a check engine light on that I know is a sensor but luckily while that check engine light has been on i haven't had to do a parked regen. So is it the shop sucking or the truck or the dealership? All the above is the correct answer. The 60k+ a year with nobody messing with me ever along with some other little benefits I get from poly help me ignore the truck/shop/dealership issues.

    Stay where your at please.
What's wrong, you got a reminder of how much
It really sucks out there pulling regular freight for
    Crappy companies for less money.

You bi!!ched and moaned for 2 years straight about poly.
Never had anything good to say.
Ain't nothing changed, the shop is still the worst in history,
The trucks are still junky internationals, and nobody answers
    The phone.

You need to get your eyes checked...like everywhere I have worked during my years of membership to the forum, I have said bad and good about what ever company I worked for, including Poly. The 2 biggest reasons I left were 1) excessive breakdown without pay. 2) the troubled equipment they kept buying year after year. Yes, the shop sucks. Yes shipping sucks...but bottom line, they have fixed 1 of the 2, and are in the process of fixing the other. I made more in my last 10 months there with regular breakdown than I made here in 12 months with no breakdowns. And I paid $150 less per month for lower deductible insurance. That is the only reason I posted that I had (briefly) considered returning.

When I worked there they always had to guys from the dealership out working on them on the line during the week.
The Peterbilt dealerships are way better about getting trucks into there shops than international. I've never been at a Peterbilt dealership more than 24 hours waiting on getting truck repairs. This is almost 2 years old and only had to go there twice

Anyone interested in Poly needs to understand they are not a trucking company
by any stretch of the imagination.

For example its taken well over 3 years to determine that something needs to
be done about the loss of good drivers. .... read it AGAIN ....thats 3 years to make
    a change
. The changes amount to nothing other than breakdown pay and layover
after 24 hours. The rest of PT hasn't changed in the least. Come loading time your
just another truck mixed in with dozens of outside carriers waiting your turn to get
loaded. My load the other day was over 30 hours behind . The recent extra 24
hours added to the loading schedule was for Poly's benefit , NOT the drivers .Their
concern is for the relationship they have with Sam's and War Mart . Shipping is still
in ultra HD slo motion from the drivers perspective.

The Shop .... is still the weakest link in the chain ...wouldn't hold my breath on
    that ever changing.

When I was there, company trucks were loaded after outside carriers because they charged detention and we got excuses, and an apology if we were lucky.

Did you see that Volkswagen is now a major stockholder in Navistar? Read that a new American version of their Daimler truck motor used in their European MANN trucks is coming soon. Bye bye Maxforce and probably Cummins too.
