The one point I made with the last manager I spoke to was, does this magic algorithm take into account what the load is, what the weather is like, where the load will be traveling? An ice cream load, or even a deep frozen load going out west in July will consume a whole lot more fuel than a candy load back east in September. They couldn't say if it did or not. That's the problem, some cubicle dwelling desk driver doesn't have a clue about the real world, they just punch some buttons, say it's gonna work and then management wants to know what the driver is doing wrong when it doesn't.

Generally a normal reaper load let’s say like a load of candy where we have it at 55 to 60° start stop that 50 gallons of reefer fuel could last for several days easily. The only loads that we really have that burned through a lot of reefer fuel or ice cream loads or other deep frozen loads in the summertime

Yeah I understand another reason I'm on the dry side..I'm not interested in having a babysit their load or put up with any BS fueling the reefer....too many responsibility that can result in a claim and the driver being blamed

This has Winston‘s fingerprints all over it why I say that is because he probably looks in a book and it looks good on paper, but there’s a lot of things in life that look good on paper that are not good in reality of real life… He’s another person that went to college and came out with no common sense

Actually they can monitor the reefer from Lincoln. They can even change the temperature. Change the mode and even turn it on and off from Lincoln themselves…

The first thing you have to learn as a driver is these companies don’t give two squats if the driver is inconvenienced and uncompensated for saving the company money.

Got my load, when I sent off the load call, I get the new fuel solution automatically. This time it didn't duplicate my final fuel stop, however, on the fuel solution on the Peoplenet, it didn't show the final fuel stop again...well, not all of it. What I think is happening is the programmers didn't make the fuel solution message's message area larger, and when they added the reefer fuel amount on there, it's using up all the character positions and just truncating the rest of the message. Thank god these rocket surgeons don't program for NASA or SpaceX. If they did, the rocket would get half way to orbit, then just fly around because nobody told it where to go after takeoff...maybe these idiots are the ones who take the short bus from the special school to write code for these AMT's too.

wulfman75, Trucker61016 and Bumper Thank this.
